Rising Tide Foundation

Scholz Nonprofit Law helped create the Rising Tide Foundation as a private operating foundation. The foundation launched The Rising Tide Center in Beloit, WI to provide youth programming, educational, and recreational opportunities to the community. By renovating a former school and its grounds, the Center invests in a neighborhood that has experienced underinvestment for too long. The Center is directed and staffed by the community . Scholz Nonprofit Law did the legal work to structure and create the foundation and the center and we advise on day-to-day operations for this nonprofit enterprise, ranging from advising on the tax implications of various activities to employment issues or liability waivers for its afterschool program.
